The first thing that came to our mind, when Mr.Steve Ballmer showcased Windows Phone 7 Series, was the question: "Will SPB work on Windows Phone 7 Series?" Well, SPB Software announced their updated version -- SPB shell version 5.0 not only for Windows Phone 7 Series but also for Symbian during the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona this week. Yippee!

If you didn't know it already, SPB Mobile Shell is a customization tool for your mobile device through which you can customize your homescreen, application browser, contacts dialer, icons, size of icons, layouts and more. If you have used SPB Mobile Shell on your Windows Mobile phone, you would know how amazing it is.

As for the new version 5.0 includes noticeable changes: a brand new 3D engine, 3D dynamic widgets (weather, media player, and gallery) and the wonderful social network integration-- that is, synchronization with Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. It also brings full-fledged accelerometer support and multi-touch gestures along with visual and haptic feedback.

SPB Mobile Shell v5.0 has been already launched but is yet not available for download on their official site. The SPB site still displays the old version 3.5.3 which is available for $29.95, so we can safely conclude that the version 5.0 might be available for anything between $30-$40.
